Whitelisting and Spark Ads rates for UGC creators

With whitelisting, the brand runs ads from your account, under your name. It's worth more than normal usage rights, and it's usually priced per month. Here's how it works and what creators charge.

Updated October 11, 2026

Usage rights vs whitelisting

  • Usage rights: the brand posts your video from its own account or ad account.
  • Whitelisting: the brand runs ads from your account. The ad shows your name and profile picture, which usually performs better for the brand. On TikTok this is called Spark Ads; on Instagram and Facebook it's partnership ads.

Because your name and reputation are on the ad, whitelisting is priced separately from usage, and usually per month.

What creators charge

  • Most common: about +30% of your base rate per month.
  • A short window (30–60 days) is often priced at +30–50% in total.
  • Some creators charge up to +100% per month, especially with a strong audience or for long runs.

Example: your rate is $200 per video and the brand wants to whitelist 1 video for 2 months at +30% per month: $200 + (2 × $60) = $320. The free offer checker adds this up for you.

How access works

  • TikTok Spark Ads: you create an authorization code for the video and share it with the brand. You choose how long the code lasts (for example 7, 30, 60 or 365 days). When it ends, the ad stops. TikTok changes this flow from time to time, so check the current steps in the TikTok app.
  • Meta partnership ads (Instagram and Facebook): access isn't time-limited by default, but you can remove it at any time and the ad stops. That makes the end date in your agreement important.

Agree on these before you share access

  1. Which videos can run as ads, and on which platforms.
  2. How many months, with a start and end date.
  3. The fee, and whether it's per month or for the whole period.
  4. That you can see the ads (or get screenshots) and can end access after the period.
  5. What happens if they want to extend: a new fee for each extra month.

Get it in writing (an email is fine) before you send a code or approve a partnership request. The code itself is the permission.

A reply you can copy

Thanks for the details! Whitelisting is billed separately from the content: it's $60 per video per month. For 1 video over 2 months that's $120, so $320 in total with the video. Once we confirm the dates, I'll send the Spark Ads code set to that period.

About the numbers

The percentages on this page are ranges commonly published in creator pricing guides in 2025–2026. They are starting points, not rules and not Ugodia data, and the guides don't always agree. Your own rate and what the brand asks for are what matter.
